Ways to Give

One of the reasons why St. Bernard’s School continues to grow stronger and more highly regarded every year is because of the volunteer and financial support it receives from current parents, past parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.

It is impossible to name the countless ways our supporters give in both small and large ways that have an enormous and lasting impact. Whether through volunteerism or financial support we are grateful that the tradition of generosity and commitment continues, enriching the school and our students.

There are a variety of ways to make a difference in the lives of St. Bernard School students:

Adopt A Student

Catholic schools teach students morality and learning skills that will help them live happy lives. The Adopt-a-Student program assists parents who would otherwise not be able to send their children to Catholic schools. It is the belief of St. Bernard’s School all children should be able to attend SBS no matter the financial situation. Would you consider making a gift on behalf of those families and students who are in need of financial assistance?

Memorial and Honor Gifts

You may want to remember someone who is living (honor) or deceased (memorial) with a special gift to St. Bernard’s School.

Volunteer

Ways to Volunteer at St. Bernard’s School include, but are not limited to: being a playground or lunch room monitor, offering after school classes to students in your area of expertise, selling raffle tickets, helping during the fall and spring school clean-up activities, working on the Annual SBS Gala, working on the Annual SBS Golf Tournament, and lots more.

Matching Gifts

Corporations across the nation match gifts to schools, meaning your gift to St. Bernard’s School could be doubled or more. Please check with your human resources department to see if your employer matches gifts. It is often as simple as filling out a form and sending it to us.

Endowments

A charitable contribution to the St. Bernard's School endowment fund can take a variety of forms including cash, appreciated securities, real estate, life insurance, gift annuities, or retirement plans. Donors may also contribute to the endowment fund through a bequest – including a gift in their will. If you are interested in making a contribution, please contact Raymond Dora.

Estate planning is necessary to ensure that your assets pass during life or at your death to your intended beneficiaries in such amounts and at such times as will achieve your objectives while minimizing taxes.
